Description
Brain Dental Lab’s grey Ortho Model Resin lets dental labs and practices print their own orthodontic and dental models with sharp detail and stable dimensions. It is made for models that go straight onto a thermoforming machine, so you can produce clear aligners, retainers and other vacuum-formed appliances without plaster.

Recommended starting print settings
Every printer is a little different, so run a calibration print and fine-tune from these starting points.
Keep the resin and room at 25–30 °C (77–86 °F) while printing. Cold resin gets thicker and prints poorly.
After printing
This is an IPA-clean resin: wash prints in isopropyl alcohol (IPA). It is not water-washable.
Troubleshooting
Layers not bonding: raise the normal exposure in 0.5–1 s steps.
Prints not sticking or misshaped: re-level the build plate.
Patchy or failed areas: check that the FEP film is tight, clear and free of scratches.
Rough or incomplete prints in a cold room: warm the resin to 25–30 °C before printing.

Which 3D printers does this resin work with?
Most LCD (MSLA) and DLP printers with a 405 nm light source, including popular models such as the Anycubic Photon, Elegoo Mars and Saturn, and Phrozen Sonic Mini and Shuffle series. It is not designed for laser SLA or FDM printers.
Can I thermoform aligners and retainers on these models?
Yes. The resin is made for vacuum and pressure forming: printed models handle short exposure up to 140 °C (284 °F) and can be reused for several thermoforming cycles.
